System Administrator (MSP / Partial WFH) (Elmhurst)

A growing Managed Service Provider in Elmhurst is seeking a System Administrator who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting a variety of environments, and working directly with clients. This role is ideal for someone with solid Microsoft and networking experience who wants a mix of escalated support, light project work, and the ability to grow into more advanced responsibilities over time.

You will support multiple small and mid-sized businesses across Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, and network infrastructure while collaborating with a supportive engineering team. After training, this position offers a hybrid schedule and the chance to develop your skills in a fast-paced MSP environment.

What You Will Do

Provide Tier 2 support for desktops, servers, cloud services, and network infrastructure

Manage Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and user provisioning across multiple client environments

Support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file services

Troubleshoot switches, firewalls, VPN connectivity, and general networking issues

Assist with projects such as onboarding, upgrades, deployments, and cloud initiatives

Maintain accurate documentation and follow internal processes for ticketing and communication

Deliver an excellent client experience with clear, friendly, service-oriented communication

What You Bring

At least 1 year of experience working for a Managed Service Provider

Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and Windows Server configuration

Experience troubleshooting networking fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment

Clear communication skills and a strong customer-focused approach

Curiosity, accountability, and a desire to continue growing your technical skill set
