Location: 696 Hampshire Rd Suite 200 Westlake Village Ca 91361 Also float to this 2nd location: 6801 Park Terrace LA 90045 (at least 1-2 days/week) Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday 8 hours 7:30-3:30 / 8:00-4:00 / 8:30-4:30 Weekends/Holidays Required: Possibly with LA RAMS sports support Ideal Candidates: experienced MA who knows how to draw blood is personable and has excellent customer service. Required Qualifications: HSD/GED Flu vaccinated (no exemptions/no declinations) Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program OR national certification through AAMA AMCA AMT CCBMA or MMCI. Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests taking blood pressure weight and temperature and reporting patient history summaries 2 years working as an MA in an outpatient clinic Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture BLS (AHA or ARC) Preferred Qualifications: 2 years working as an MA in Ortho or Sports Medicine Experience with CS-Link/Epic Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions Phlebotomy certification Experience with medical insurance referral processes and benefit plans Casting experience Job Duties: Greet patients take appropriate vital signs review current meds and record in the medical record Assist with tracking and monitoring department-specific data Explain policies procedures or services to patients based on scope of practice Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines Administer immunizations injections or oral medications as directed by the provider Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by the provider NOTE: These statements describe the primary duties and responsibilities of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all tasks.
