Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient and long-term care float assignment with BLS (AHA) certification and MN licensure required.
Responsibilities
Work in an inpatient rehabilitation and long-term care float settingPrimary assignment in long-term care with occasional float to inpatient unitsAdult patient population with diagnoses including deconditioning, total joint replacement, post-op ortho, some neuro, and general medical-surgical casesCaseload averages approximately 30-40 patients in hospital; SNFs have 60 and 30 bedsUse of EPIC (acute care) and Casamba / NetHealth (LTC) charting systemsMonday through Friday day shifts with no call or weekendsOccasionally may be the sole OT at an LTC location, with phone support availableEvaluate and treat a variety of adult patient diagnoses in acute and long-term care settingsProvide coverage support for skilled nursing facilities as neededComprehensive orientation includes computer-based modules, 1-on-1 training for documentation systems, and departmental orientationAll clinicians must badge in and out at the facilityDress code is polo (Ceil Blue, Khaki, Gray, Chocolate Brown) or business casualApplicants living within 80 miles are eligible with adjusted local ratesMust disclose prior employment at any Sanford Health location; a minimum 6-month break is required before reapplyingTrauma Level 3 facilityNo weekend or holiday coverage requiredPhone support available when working solo at an LTC locationRequirements
Current MN Occupational Therapy license or willingness to obtain (license required if applicable)Active BLS certification through AHAAt least 1 year of occupational therapy experience in the past 3 years preferredExperience with inpatient and SNF settings requiredWillingness to float to all locations as neededExperience with EPIC EMR highly preferredBenefits
