Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a licensed professional specializing in visual impairment to support K-12 students in an academic setting located in Lafayette, IN. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students, enabling them to access the curriculum effectively and confidently participate in school activities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized teaching plans tailored to the needs of visually impaired students across kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Utilize assistive technology and adaptive materials to enhance student learning and independence.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and support staff to integrate services and accommodations.
• Conduct assessments and provide ongoing support to monitor student progress.
• Provide training and guidance to school personnel and families on strategies to support visually impaired students.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to student progress and interventions.
