Position Summary :

In addition to its 300 days of annual sunshine, breathtaking scenery, and reputation for some of the country's best brews, Denver ranks among the top 10 in Forbes’ 'Best cities for dogs 2024' list. We are honored to have a strong presence in this mile-high city, as we have been operating here since 1930. Initially focused on producing livestock feed, the plant transitioned into a pet food-only manufacturer in 1972. Notably, our Denver location became the first-ever pet food factory to harness the power of solar energy. We take great pride in doing our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. We currently produce 260,134 tons annually of Dog Chow®, Cat Chow®, Kit n Kaboodle®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE Beyond®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, and Pro Plan®.

But, we leave it up to you to shape our future and your career aspirations.Our Production Operators are the feeder group for all production-based operator positions within various production departments, which include Unloading, Dry Pet Processing, and Dry Pet Packing. Team members go through a training period and afterwards will be moved to one of several critical factory positions to operate, including Extruder Operator, Utility, Packing Operator, etc.

• Train on specific production equipment / machinery in a safe and productive manner.
• Provide support to operators in Unloading, Processing, and Packing.
• Run unloading, processing, and packing equipment, and serve as backups to operator positions in various departments.
• Troubleshoot and complete preventative maintenance / clean and inspect checklist for equipment.
• Effectively work with interdepartmental personnel to maintain a good flow of safety, quality, and production information throughout the plant.
• Operate a forklift as needed.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $29.53. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
