Role Overview

  • Provide holistic, quality, and cost-effective advanced practice care for patients and families, focusing on optimal health management and disease prevention.
  • Make independent decisions regarding health care across the lifespan and continuum of care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including neurologists and rehabilitation staff, to deliver exceptional care for stroke and other complex neurological conditions.
  • Manage admissions, discharges, consultations, and respond to stroke codes.

Shift Details

This is an inpatient-only position with rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. There will be future expansions to accommodate overnight shifts.

    • Qualifications

  • Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program (if applicable) or current Physician Assistant license.
  • Active APRN license (post-1994) or current PA license, with certification according to CT state law.
  • Certification as an Acute Care NP is strongly preferred.
  • Specific experience in neurology or stroke care is preferred but not required.
