Accounting Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for fixed asset accounting, including communication to subsidiaries.

Responsible for telecom accounting, including communication to subsidiaries.

Responsible for lease accounting, including communication to subsidiaries.

May prepare special reports and analysis as required by management.

Attends staff and team meetings as required, and performs other duties as necessary.

Codes and prepares for payment invoices, including employee expense reports.

Analyzes, audits and reclassifies costs for all cost / profit centers for all entities.

Preparation in posting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing entries for all entities.

Works with Accounting Manager and Corporate Controller in preparing monthly financial statements

Maintains billing due list. Duties include updating contract information in SAP as received from Corporate Legal department or designated property managers.

Updates Notes Payable schedule, including related party transactions.

May prepare special reports and analysis as requested by management.

Assists the Corporate Controller with preparation of the annual budgets.

Assists in the preparation of the balance sheets

Abides by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Ability to communicate, both verbal and written, to all levels of employees professionally and efficiently. Be able to deal with vendors, customer, and intercompany personnel in a professional manner.

Must be able to meet deadlines in a timely manner.

Regular attendance is required.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Detailed understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and concepts.

Must have the ability to work with detail, and good organizational skills.

Ability to use and operate a PC, adding machine, copier, and any other office equipment required to perform duties.

Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.

Excellent mathematical skills required with demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

Knowledge of a variety of software including but not limited to Excel, Word, and SAP.

Ability to supervise staff.

Four-year college degree in accounting, finance or other related field or equivalent experience preferred.

Seven to ten years of professional accounting experience working with accounting fundamentals and general ledger systems or superior performance as a Staff Accountant II.

At least three years of superior performance as a Staff Accountant, or equivalent work experience.
