• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process, specializing in wound care for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Develops individualized care plans, maintains clinical competencies, performs transcutaneous oxygen monitoring, and assists with wound debridement and dressing changes.
• Accurately documents care, advocates for patient well-being, and performs additional duties as assigned by the Medical Director of Wound Care / HBO, the Wound Care / HBO Coordinator, the Director of Pulmonary Services, or their designee. Uses wound dressings per formulary. Collects wound cultures per policy. Applicants must have graduated from a school of professional nursg. Additional requirements include : Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or compact state. Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association is required. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or compact state. 2 years recent experience with Medical / surgical patients. Wound Care experience preferred.
