Alba Los Angeles is seeking experienced Prep Cooks to join our team! Located in West Hollywood, Alba LA aspires to be one of the city’s best Italian restaurants. Hourly pay is based on prior experience, aspirations, and workload. Key Responsibilities :

Culinary Excellence

  • Ingredient Preparation : Wash, chop, and cut ingredients according to recipe specifications to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Recipe Execution : Measure ingredients properly and strictly follow all recipes and prep lists provided by the Executive Chef.
  • Kitchen Systems : Organize and maintain cleanliness in all prep areas, walk-in, knives, cutting boards, and utensils.

Operational Excellence

  • Inventory Management : Rotate stock, label, and date all products to meet FIFO and company standards.
  • Product Knowledge : Possess in-depth knowledge of all ingredients and communicate product needs to the Chef team.
  • Equipment Maintenance : Report any damaged or defective goods or equipment to management promptly.

    • Health, Safety, and Cleanliness

  • Compliance with Regulations : Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety guidelines, including maintaining an “A” rating from the Health Department. Must have a valid, non-expired Food Handlers’ card.
  • Kitchen Cleanliness : Keep workstations sanitized and follow proper maintenance procedures to ensure a safe environment.
  • Safety Standards : Work with safety as a priority and follow all department and company safety protocols.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
