Lead Cybersecurity Engineer with Linux and Cloud Integration

Responsibilities

Peraton is currently hiring for a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer with Linux and Cloud Integration to join our Federal Strategic Cyber Programs.

Locations : Rosslyn VA & Beltsville MD

Schedule : Hybrid (On-site & Remote)

What Youll Do :

• Lead the design integration and deploymentof cybersecurity tools across enterprise environments.
• Perform system builds configurations and security hardeningfor new and existing technologies.
• Integrate cybersecurity tools (e.g. Tenable Splunk endpoint protection) into existing infrastructure and workflows.
• Develop test and maintain Terraform codeto automate secure infrastructure provisioning in Azure and on-prem environments.
• Collaborate with network infrastructure and operations teams to ensure seamless transition of engineered solutions into O&M.
• Support vulnerability managementprocesses including scanning reporting and remediation integration.
• Participate in system integration testing validation and deploymentto ensure secure configurations and compliance.
• Provide engineering support and documentation including detailed architecture diagrams configuration baselines and technical procedures.
• Monitor emerging cybersecurity technologies and recommend innovative solutions to strengthen enterprise security posture.

Qualifications

Required :

CASP CE CCNA Cyber Ops CCNA-Security CCNP Security CEH CFR CISA CISSP (or Associate) Cloud CySA GCED GCIA GCIH GICSP SCYBER VCA DCV PPDA Agile IC SNOW App Dev.

Cybersecurity engineering tool integration and system hardening.

The ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.

Target Salary Range

$112000 - $179000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
