Certified Medical Coding Auditor

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Auditor-Outpatient.

Key Responsibilities

Audit medical records for accurate coding of diagnoses, procedures, and services

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific coding regulations

Identify and correct coding errors, providing feedback and training to coding staff

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent GED required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related field preferred

Active certification required; CPC or CCS preferred

At least three years of direct experience in coding / auditing applicable services

Prior auditing experience in a provider or payer setting is desirable
