Position Details :

Type : PRN

Department : Acute Inpatient & Orthopedic

Shift : Flexible Day Shift with potential shift differentials for nights and weekends

Location : SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Oklahoma City

About the Role :

As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate and implement treatment programs aimed at alleviating pain and restoring movement for patients suffering from various health-related conditions. Your contributions will play a vital role in their recovery journey.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ physical conditions.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans involving collaboration with patients and their families.
• Execute therapy interventions using standard techniques tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Educate patients, families, and staff to promote understanding of care processes and needs.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to home care and recommend equipment or modifications if needed.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants, students, and support staff as necessary.
• Maintain thorough documentation that reflects patients’ progress and the necessity for skilled interventions.
• Always prioritize safety and work in an alert and vigilant manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Degree : Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy, or related field as required for licensure.
• No prior experience required.

Physical Requirements :

• Constant standing with frequent walking and lifting (up to 25 lbs), along with occasional lifting of heavier items.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Visual acuity for evaluating patients and determining treatment needs.
• Ability to engage in a variety of physical activities related to patient care.

Licensure :

• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Must possess a valid Physical Therapist license from the respective state regulatory board.
