Project Leadership :
- Lead electrical and controls engineering and design efforts for manufacturing projects in collaboration with safety, maintenance, operations, and third-party stakeholders.
- Design & Execution :
Manage the creation and execution of electrical and controls design deliverables, including :
Power distribution single-line diagrams.
Network topology diagrams.Control panel layouts (complete with bill of materials and schematic wiring diagrams).Safety logic tables, construction specifications, and scopes of work for construction packages.Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with local and national codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E) and relevant regulatory standards.Problem Solving & Maintenance :Provide leadership in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for equipment failures and electrical issues.
Develop and review electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.Create preventive maintenance strategies for critical electrical infrastructure and ensure their implementation.Safety & Standards :Participate in hazard analysis, energy isolation procedures, and support arc flash studies.
Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards and protocols.Training & Collaboration :Provide technical coaching and training on electrical and controls requirements, standards, and best practices to operations and maintenance teams.
Review and approve project vendor proposals and drawings.Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT) to ensure designs and equipment meet specifications, requirements, and functionality.Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.7+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment.Expertise in electrical systems, industrial automation, PLCs, VFDs, and power distribution systems.Familiarity with electrical standards and codes, such as NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and OSHA 1910 Subpart S.Strong project management and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license or passing results on the FE exam.Experience in food and beverage or similarly regulated industries.Benefits
