Experience with CAD design tools. Effective technical writing and verbal communication skills. Positive attitude, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with vendors and / or customers. Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to establish priorities, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. A four-year technical degree (preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering - Mechanical Engineers, a PE license is highly preferred) or related experience. Proven initiative and self-direction.
We are looking for a creative, resourceful, problem-solving Design Engineer to help create products that ensures there is clean water for all.
Description :
- Our wastewater clarifier drives and services are provided to municipal wastewater and industrial facilities.
- This position will strive to improve our processes through the creation of non-existent products or modifications of existing products. Additionally, product enhancements, reducing costs, and design for manufacturability will be an emphasis for this role. As a Design Engineer, you will work under minimal supervision and draw solutions from your experience or the experience of those around you.
- The Design Engineer will be focused on a consistent review of our existing products as well as determining new products that should be included in our water / wastewater product offerings. You will evaluate design and function to assess the need for simplification, standardization, reliability, parts interchangeability, and cost reduction.
- Through healthy communication and collaboration, the Design Engineer will work to examine and analyze new applications / designs of products to determine feasibility of operation, manufacturing, and application. Your innovative and process improvement skills will help bring our engineering department to the next level.
