Janitor - Part-Time

Job Title:

Job Summary:

• The Janitor will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities.
• This role involves routine cleaning duties, handling waste, and ensuring that all areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
• Maintain and clean floors, including vacuuming carpets and polishing hard floors.
• Clean and sanitize office equipment, including telephones, keyboards, and other surfaces.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used and stored properly.
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the supervisor or facilities manager.
• Adhere to all safety and hygiene standards, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Respond to urgent cleaning requests and special cleaning projects as needed.
• Follow established procedures for cleaning and maintenance to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

• Capability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor areas.
