Real Estate Property Accountant Who :

    • Position Overview :

  • The Portfolio Accountant will oversee accounting and financial reporting functions for a portfolio of real estate assets, ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy in all financial records.
  • This role includes preparing financial statements, managing the general ledger, and working closely with property managers to resolve discrepancies.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare financial statements for assigned properties in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage the general ledger and record journal entries accurately.
  • Perform bank and financial account reconciliations.
  • Support and coordinate portfolio audits.
  • Process and verify property management transactions.
  • Utilize Yardi or RealPage to maintain accurate records and reporting.
  • Partner with property managers to ensure accurate reporting and resolve issues.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 3+ years of real estate accounting experience or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles.
  • Proficiency in Yardi or RealPage software.
  • Hands-on experience with GL accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
