Quality Documentation Specialist
The quality documentation specialist is responsible for creating, managing and maintaining documentation that supports compliance with AS9100 and ISO standard and customer-specification requirements. This role ensures that all quality related documents are accurate, controlled and accessible, enabling the organization to meet aerospace industry standards and continuous improvement goals.
Coordinate with manufacturing to provide appropriate training in workmanship, assembly techniques, AS9100 Quality System Requirements, based on Aerofit policies and procedures.
Assist Management Representative during internal, external agency audits such as AS9100 or ISO.
Examine engineering drawings, blueprints, orders, and other documentation for conformance to established criteria regarding materials, parts and equipment specified.
Analyzes change requests for completeness.
Ensures all Engineering and Product Development records are controlled in a manner which ensures integrity and accessibility including photocopying and scanning of documents.
Work with engineering, manufacturing and quality to ensure documentation reflects current processes.
Manage document control system : version control, approval workflows, archiving and retrieval.
Prepare and maintain manual or computerized record systems providing detailed parts information such as a complete description, quantities, operational characteristics, functions, and specifications.
Prepare and update part listings, bill of materials and related documentation.
Processes and controls storage of Quality Records which includes, procedures, work instructions, forms, specifications, protocols, reports, drawings, electronic and hardcopy archives, and notebooks.
Release updated / revised documentation to authorized departments and organizations.
At least 3+Years of experience in document control, engineering documentation and manufacturing.
Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001 standard requirements
Work independently with minimum amount of supervision.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal as well as good people skills.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Programs
Associate's degree required (engineering, business or another technical field).
Must be able to stay organized in a fast paced and deadline driven work environment.
