J.B. Hunt is Now Hiring Mobile Trailer Technicians!Responsible for performing intermediate service and repair of J.B. Hunt tractors, trailers, chassis, containers or power equipment. Under routine supervision, this role works outside of the shop, servicing equipment at customer sites or rail yards using our mobile service truck. Job Description : Perform intermediate-level preventive maintenance and repairs, including tire replacements, brake repairs, electrical diagnostics and basic structural repairs on tractor or trailer equipmentTroubleshoot and repair ABS systemProperly operate the mobile service truck and attend to truck inventoryAssist with the onboarding and mentorship of tractor technician traineesFollow all safety requirements while onsite and at customer locationsAccurately complete work orders and other written materials according to established proceduresProperly document damage to company equipment to estimate cost of repairsDemonstrate proficient use of a cutting torch and welding equipment to perform mid-level repairs on chassis, frames, and other equipmentPatch holes in trailer or container side panels and roofsPerform annual AA trailer and FHWA brake inspections under direct supervisionBenefits : Medical, dental and vision coverageCompany-matched 401(k)Paid time off and paid holidaysLife insurance and disability coverage optionsPaid parental leave In addition to the company benefits listed above, the maintenance team will also have access to : Earnings range from $19.59-$45.39 per hour

• Depending on location Minimum Qualifications : Must be 18 years of age with 1 or more years of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of education and experience, or military equivalentAND Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiencesMust be DOT-certified in FHWA inspections and air brakesAble to supply your own basic tools, or purchase through our toolbox purchase programWillingness to work outdoors in the elementsAble to work across multiple shifts, including nights and / or weekends if neededCompensation : Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
