Graduate Nurse (GN)

Position Summary

The Graduate Nurse (GN) delivers quality nursing care to patients through interpersonal contact and provides care and services to assure patient safety and attain or maintain the highest practicable physical mental and psychosocial well-being of each patient in accordance with all applicable laws regulations and Life Care standards. Reports to supervising Registered Nurse (RN).

Education Experience and Licensure Requirements

• Received a nursing diploma (associates or bachelors degree in nursing) or have graduated from an approved program within the last three months
• Authorized by the Florida Board of Nursing to practice as a graduate nurse and have received a Graduate Nurse letter
• Authorized by the Florida Board of Nursing to test by the examination vendor. The GN status expires if the applicant takes (or misses) the examination. An applicant who does not pass the first examination would no longer be eligible for employment as a GN.
• CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
