Howyou willdo it
Apprentices will be trained and will perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
Apprentices willparticipatein certifiedtrainingthrough Service Technical Academy that will build skill sets toprovidecontinued opportunities for recognition, monetaryrewardsand advancement.
Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues as well as customer needs.
You will keep JCI, contractors, and the customer advised of job progress and issues as needed.
You will meet attendance requirements for required Union training for first year.
Provide recommendations and solutions to ensurefacilityis running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.
Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
What we look for
Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
1+ years of industry experience or experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
Generally required knowledge includes mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipmentinstallationand servicing techniques
Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment on a job site
Self-starter withabilityto eventually work independently.
Prioritize safety in all forms.
This position requires a valid driver’s license.
Preferred
1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis.
Pay Range : $14.06
hourly ratedeterminedby the CBA / rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
