ABOUT THIS ROLE
The warehouse driver is responsible for driving various East Bay Tire vehicles while delivering goods and products to customers, clients, and accounts. You will make deliveries and pick up inventory as needed.
DUTIES INCLUDE
- Active participation in East Bay Tire's Safety program to maintain a healthy and injury free environment
- Participate in training and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growth
- Drives commercial truck to deliver tires to customers as well as other East Bay Tire locations
- Performs initial vehicle inspection at the beginning of each shift
- Unloads different types and sizes of tires at delivery site
- Collects money from customers on COD accounts
- Records delivery information on pick tickets
- Inform regular customers of new tires available when questioned
- Listens to and resolves service complaints
- Collects or picks up rejected tires or unsold merchandise
- Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery
- Responsible for routine vehicle presentation / cleanliness
- Work on special projects and perform other tasks as needed
- Adherence to company and safety policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS
Must have at least 2 years' experience working as a commercial or warehouse driverExperience working in a warehouse as a technician or driver preferredExperience delivering parts or products to customersExperience working in the tire industry preferred but not requiredBilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.Must have a strong commitment to achieving goals with a teamwork mentalityMust have great communication / interpersonal skillsMust be motivated with a good business sense and understandingMust have good decision-making / judgment skillsMust be extremely organized and detail-oriented.Must be a team player, with the initiative and ability to do what it takes to get the job doneComputer skills with a variety of programs, including Excel, Outlook, and various other computer systemsMust have a class A or B valid driver's license and a clean driving recordMust be a self-starter, be willing to take initiative and be willing to work without direct supervisionMust be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds as required for the jobAbility to meet deadlines, multi-task, and work independently on tight deadlines with multiple prioritiesLOCATION
