Bemana is seeking an Engineering Manager in Carol Stream, IL with a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience. This role leads our local engineering, manufacturing and field service personnel. This is a player-coach role : you'll spend part of your time doing technical work and part of your time supporting operations and customer-facing activities. Engineering managers are responsible for aligning resources to support new business development in our manufacturing and technical products company-wide.

Position offers :

Salary range $120K - $140K / year depending on experience.. If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.

Job Duties :

Perform the technical execution of industrial automation projects from start to finish, including electrical & mechanical design, programming, FAT, installation, and commissioning. (Projects commonly Include : PLC, HMI, VFD, Motion Control, Pneumatics, Sensors, Safety, Industrial Networking, Robotics, & General Control Panel Components & Accessories.)

Collaborate with clients to define project requirements, BOM, and desired outcomes.

Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.

Responsible for tracking changes to scope of work and secure change orders when necessary.

Perform quality inspection on finished electro-mechanical products assembled by production personnel ensuring accuracy of build per internal or customer specifications.

Manage the local shop schedule and assign work to ensure on-time delivery of manufactured systems

Recruit, train and develop, direct reports; manage performance issues as needed. Bring issues and solutions to the attention of the senior leadership team.

Produces, manages and reviews customer quotations, proposals and solutions in a timely manner, based on the customer's technical and commercial requirements.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.

Experience with electrical control panels and designs with systems such as SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Excels in a fast paced environment

Gathers input and makes decisions based on information provided.

Leadership Experience (preferred but not required)

Controls Engineering Experience (preferred but not required)

Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred but not required)
