We're partnering with a manufacturing and distribution company in Richmond to find a Procurement Specialist who knows how to source smart, build vendor relationships, and keep the supply chain humming. This is a fully on-site role for someone who likes being where the action is.

What you'll do :

  • Source and purchase materials, supplies, and equipment to keep operations moving
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors (your poker face will come in handy)
  • Monitor inventory levels and anticipate purchasing needs before they become emergencies
  • Evaluate supplier performance and build relationships that actually last
  • Collaborate with production, warehouse, and finance teams to align purchasing with business goals
  • Track costs, identify savings opportunities, and make the numbers make sense

What you bring :

  • 3+ years of procurement or purchasing experience (manufacturing / distribution environment preferred)
  • Strong negotiation skills and a knack for building vendor partnerships
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat
  • Solid communication skills—you'll be working across departments daily
  • A proactive mindset and zero patience for supply chain chaos
