CK Transportation is seeking qualified CDL A drivers in Atlanta, GA (30303) for regional Midwest operations designed for professionals who appreciate steady miles and predictable scheduling. This position focuses on well-planned shorter regional routes, giving drivers a balance between consistent work and the ability to return home regularly. What You Can Expect

Drivers in this role typically complete around 2,100 miles each week, supported by a route structure that emphasizes smooth transitions between stops and efficient loading procedures. Most freight involves drop-and-hook assignments, reducing delays and allowing drivers to maximize driving hours. The position is designed for individuals who value steady performance metrics and appreciate routes that remain organized and predictable.

Compensation and Benefits Package

Weekly earnings for this position range from $1,250 to $1,450 , depending on performance and weekly mileage. A guaranteed minimum pay program provides income security during slower periods, ensuring stable weekly compensation. Drivers also receive a full suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, prescription coverage, paid holidays, paid vacation, 401k matching, and per diem options. Additional incentives are available for safe operation and fuel efficiency.

Equipment and Tools Provided

CK Transportation operates a fleet of 2016 or newer tractors, including Freightliner Cascadias, International Pro Stars, and Kenworth models equipped with 10-speed manual transmissions. Each truck includes 1500-watt inverters and Opti-idle systems to support practical, efficient rest periods. Drivers with appropriate parking arrangements may qualify for take-home truck privileges.

Home Time and Scheduling

The regional structure supports weekly home time of at least 34 hours. Schedules are built to provide three weekends home per month, along with an additional mid-week break, creating consistency that allows drivers to plan around family and personal commitments.

Driver Qualifications

To be considered, applicants must be at least 21 years old and have either six months of recent tractor-trailer experience or one year within the past three years. Experience with 48-foot or longer vehicles is required, along with a strong commitment to safety and reliability.
