The Sr. Director of Product Management for Core Health Plan is responsible for owning the strategy, outcomes, and technology enablement for core health plan offerings. This includes claims processing, network management, product benefit design, and eligibility and enrollment. The role ensures competitive, compliant, and customer-focused products that deliver measurable business results. This leader will own product outcomes end-to-end, working closely with internal teams, technology partners, and external stakeholders to define, deliver, and optimize solutions that meet market needs and regulatory requirements.

Your Work
In this role, you will :
- Drive AI forward vision and strategy by developing and championing a bold product vision, driving solutions that leverage AI across all stages of the product lifecycle, and partner closely with AI-forward engineering and operations teams to create transformative products for the health plan ecosystem
- Define commercial and strategic value and take full accountability for the commercial success of your product portfolio by collaborating with internal and external partners to determine strategic product value, and own the pricing and packaging of product offerings to align with the overall portfolio and go-to-market strategy
- Own the full product lifecycle and roadmap and lead the management of your product offerings across the entire development lifecycle; this includes owning the strategic product roadmap, leading customer discovery and validation, guiding teams through successful launches, and driving continuous enhancement post-launch; establishing direction for strategic initiatives for multiple product lines within offering portfolio; define and develop a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic goals and market demands; ensures product development product launch and marketing align with business, market and technology strategies
- Establish product roadmap with a three-five-year horizon with operational plan for year 1, representing cross functional team integration; oversee cross functional product squads to ensure the teams are advancing product capabilities required to meet market, business and user need; oversee the design and development of the products, technology and services, ensuring they meet customer needs and regulatory requirements; document as needed functional requirements to enable product and service development within product squads; collaborate with technology and engineering leaders to support a AI forward agile development process
- Perform a deep into market research, competitive analysis, and direct customer discovery to become the company's leading expert on the pain points and unmet needs of our health plan customers
- Collaborate seamlessly with Engineering, Design, Data Science, go to market to rally the organization around a unified vision and own the "what" and the "why," empowering your cross-functional partners to own the "how"
- Collaborate with engineering, technology, marketing, sales, partnerships and other departments to ensure cohesive product and service development, integration and successful launches; communicate with parties within and outside of own job function; work to influence others to accept view / practices and agree or accept new concepts and approaches
- Foster a culture of rapid execution in a fast-paced, agile environment, guiding your product portfolio from initial concept through design, development, launch, and iteration
- Define and analyze the metrics that inform product success; drive a culture of rapid experimentation, learning, and data-driven decision-making within your team and the broader organization
- Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing team of product managers, fostering their skills and career development
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and guide future development efforts and foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and implementing best practices in product management
- Manages a small team of product managers responsible for advancing product requirements and creating product prototypes for user feedback and iterative agile development. Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans aligned with product offering roadmap
Your Knowledge and Experience
Requires a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Public Health, or Information TechnologyRequires a minimum of 12 years of experience in Product Management, Management Consulting, Technology Strategy or Entrepreneurship, including 6 years of management experience gained as a team leader, supervisor or project / program managerRequires deep domain expertise in the U.S. core health plan ecosystem is required, with an understanding of the complexities of areas like claims, benefits, enrollment, or provider networks and are passionate about creating changeRequires direct experience developing or managing products with a significant AI / ML componentRequires direct experience with technology and engineers teams and working closely on squads to deliver the productRequires experience with the commercial aspects of product management, including pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategyRequires demonstrated ability to translate complex user needs and ambiguous market problems into a clear, prioritized product backlog and a compelling strategic roadmapRequires an analytical mindset with a history of using both qualitative and quantitative data to build business cases and guide product strategyRequires experience creating and developing communications that tell a compelling story to inspire and align stakeholders from the engineering team to the executive suiteAbout Stellarus and the Ascendiun Family of Companies
