About This Opportunity

What You Will Do

This is a high-impact role where you’ll lead the revenue recognition process, support billing and collaborate cross-functionally to refine and optimize our systems, processes and controls. We are seeking an individual with strong technical revenue recognition / accounting experience in both a license and subscription based software company, including “on premise”.

This role will report to the Corporate Controller.

This is a remote role open to candidates in San Francisco Bay Area, CA; Seattle, WA; Chicago, IL; Austin, TX, with occasional travel to our headquarters in Mountain View, California.

• Own the end-to-end revenue recognition process, including ensuring revenue recognition adherence under ASC 606.
• Partner with sales operations and the general accounting team to manage invoicing and deferred revenue.
• Lead month-end close activities including revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations and reporting.
• Support and implement system, process, and control improvements in revenue, billing and accounts receivable functions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, Accounting, and Operations to evaluate contracts and revenue implications.
• Maintain audit readiness through solid technical accounting and documentation and internal controls.
• Leverage systems including NetSuite ARM and Salesforce to continue to streamline the automation and improve revenue processes.
• Support technical accounting for commissions under ASC 340.
