Ability to obtain and maintain an active Lancaster County Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service Training Certification as well as any additional training / certification requirements per Marcus Hotels & Resorts, Marriott and Lancaster County. Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, game days and the ability to work under pressure. Must be able to lift, push, pull and / or carry 30 lbs. and ability to stand and move throughout continuously to perform essential job functions. Must be detail-orientated, able to multi-task, produce high quality and accurate work as well as show professionalism in all facets of the workplace. Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner at all times. Banquet Server On Call

Come be a part of history at this Nebraska Landmark! Part of Milwaukee based Marcus Hotels & Resorts, the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel in downtown Lincoln has been serving Nebraska's capital city for nearly 90 years and has evolved as the benchmark for hospitality.
What will you be doing?
- Set up tables with china, silverware, and other service equipment in accordance with Event Order (EO) and break down assigned banquet rooms according to manager's instructions.
- Services of food and beverages according to standards and event orders.
- Prepare work areas such as coffee stations prior to function, maintain condition and cleanliness of banquet rooms, public areas, and storage areas.
- Attend all scheduled mandatory Banquet Department meetings, trainings and hotel meetings.
- Maintain standards of quality and service according to Marcus Hotels and Resorts and Marriott standards.
- Perform all other related duties and special projects as requested and / or assigned.
