Position Overview

Optigy is seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a locum assignment in Cumming, GA . This is a full-time night shift position (3x12s weekly) in a multi-specialty medical-surgical ICU environment. The provider will work collaboratively with attending physicians to manage critically ill patients and deliver evidence-based, high-quality care.

Requirements

Acute Care Certified NP or Physician Assistant with valid national and state licensure

Active Georgia license required

Minimum of 12 years of ICU experience as an APP

Proficient in ICU procedures, including :

Central line insertions (CVLs, vascaths, introducers)

Arterial line insertions

Must provide case logs of procedures for credentialing

Local candidates preferred

Responsibilities

Manage and monitor critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting

Collaborate closely with attending physicians and multidisciplinary teams

Perform and document thorough assessments, procedures, and follow-up notes in Cerner EMR

Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and communicate ongoing patient status to care teams

Interpret diagnostic testing and implement appropriate clinical interventions

Position Details

Schedule : 7 : 00 PM 7 : 30 AM (Night Shift)

Workweek : Three 12-hour shifts per week

APP-to-patient ratio : 1015 ICU patients per APP (with attending MD support)

• Overtime : Daily after 24 hours; Weekly after 40 hours

On-call : No

Telehealth : No
