We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10–15 years of experience in consulting engineering and project management to join our Atlanta office. The successful candidate will work directly with clients, collaborate closely with discipline leaders and the business development team, and take a proactive role in marketing and proposal development. Key Responsibilities
Design and specify electrical systems for a wide range of project types
Manage and design multiple concurrent projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence
Lead electrical design teams and coordinate with other disciplines
Interpret and produce technical drawings and construction documents
Manage project teams with responsibility for budget and schedule control
Develop fee-based and qualification-based technical proposals
Participate in and support marketing and business development activities
Serve as a technical consultant to clients, architects, owners, and contractors
Maintain positive and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Contribute positively to office culture, morale, and departmental goals
Travel as required to support project and client needs
Technical Qualifications
Strong knowledge of electrical systems design and specifications
Proficiency with applicable electrical and energy codes and standards, including NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, and related regulations
Experience with SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling and analysis software
Experience in the power industry, with a focus on electrical engineering and design for industrial, higher education, healthcare, federal government, and/or commercial projects
Lighting design experience preferred but not required
Experience with Telecom, A/V, cybersecurity, and security systems is a plus
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
Strong ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Advanced critical thinking, organizational, and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (required)
10–15 years of relevant experience
Proven project management experience and/or certifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desire and ability to lead interdisciplinary projects and teams
Experience working with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and established relationships is a plus
Active involvement in local or regional industry organizations is a plus
