How you'll make an impact in this role * Perform a full range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including carotid duplex, venous mapping, arterial bypass graft evaluations, and Upper/Lower Extremity Venous and Arterial studies (Physiological and Duplex). * Utilize B-mode imaging, Color Flow, and Spectral Doppler to evaluate blood flow velocity and direction; accurately identify hemodynamically significant stenoses, occlusions, aneurysms, and venous insufficiency. * Analyze sonographic data to distinguish between normal physiology and urgent pathologies; communicate critical findings (such as acute DVT or carotid dissection) immediately to the interpreting physician and nursing staff to facilitate urgent intervention. * Maintain high-level proficiency with ultrasound instrumentation and PACS archiving; provide detailed preliminary reports and anatomical drawings to assist the vascular surgeon or radiologist in clinical diagnosis and surgical planning. What minimum requirements you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: * BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. * One or more of the following required: * Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. * Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. * Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: * High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
