Job Title : CNC Laser Programmer / Operator – Night Shift
Location : Catoosa, OK
Shift : Night Shift | 3 : 00 PM – 1 : 30 AM, Monday–Thursday
Pay Rate : $21–$25 per hour, based on experience
Employment Type : [Full-Time / Temp-to-Hire
Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced CNC Laser Programmer / Operator for night shift operations. This role is responsible for programming, setup, and operation of Trumpf and Dener laser cutting machines. The ideal candidate can work independently, troubleshoot issues in real time, and keep production moving while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Program, set up, and operate Trumpf and Dener CNC laser cutting machines
- Retrieve and modify programs as needed to meet production requirements
- Perform full machine setup, including proper gas selection, nozzle selection, and material selection
- Load DXF files into laser software, convert files, and nest parts on appropriate materials
- Program nesting software to maximize material usage and efficiency
- Load and unload materials while maintaining quality and on-time delivery
- Perform laser cutting operations per specifications and job requirements
- Diagnose machining issues during operation and make necessary adjustments
- Perform startup and shutdown procedures for laser machines
- Inspect finished parts for quality and report process issues to supervision
- Operate and navigate a Windows-based computer environment
- Perform routine operator maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations at all times
Required Experience & Skills :
Minimum of 5 years of CNC laser programming and operation experienceHands-on experience with Trumpf and Dener lasers preferredExperience bringing DXF files into programming software and nesting partsPreferred experience with Metalix and TruTops (Trumpf) softwareStrong blueprint reading skillsProficient using measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, measuring tables, and tape measuresAbility to work independently on night shift with minimal supervisionQualifications & Competencies :
Analytical skills : Ability to monitor processes, inspect materials, and troubleshoot issuesMathematics : Comfortable interpreting blueprints and working with precise measurementsPhysical requirements : Able to lift up to 75 lbs; stand, walk, bend, and handle large metal sheetsCommunication skills : Able to communicate clearly with engineering and supervision to improve processesMeasuring skills : Proficient in both metric and standard measurement systemsTime management : Able to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks efficientlyComputer skills : Strong computer proficiency required for programming and operation#MED
