SQL Developer

Our Client is seeking an experienced SQL Developer to support the analysis, design, development, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise data integration and ETL solutions. This role plays a critical part in building secure, reliable, and scalable SQL-based data pipelines that integrate core systems such as JD Edwards, Service Pro, and other internal and external platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and data integration designs

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain SQL-based ETL processes including stored procedures, functions, views, and data validation routines

Write, optimize, and tune complex SQL queries to support data extraction, transformation, loading, and reconciliation

Build and support system integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, database connectivity, and secure file-based data transfers

Support orchestration and automation workflows including scheduling, dependencies, retries, and alerting

Monitor data pipelines and jobs, troubleshoot failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions

Ensure data quality, security, and reliability through testing, logging, and monitoring controls

Document workflows, source-to-target mappings, SQL logic, runbooks, and operational support procedures

Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve integration and production issues

Apply best practices for performance tuning, maintainability, and continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

Five or more years of SQL development experience with Microsoft SQL Server preferred

Three to five or more years of experience supporting ETL and data integration solutions in an enterprise environment

Strong expertise in SQL performance tuning and query optimization including indexing strategies, execution plans, and set-based logic

Hands-on experience integrating systems using REST or SOAP APIs and or secure file-based data exchanges

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work directly with both business and technical stakeholders

Demonstrated experience documenting technical solutions and supporting production data processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud or similar ETL and integration tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Talend, SnapLogic, Boomi, MuleSoft, Matillion, or dbt

Experience with managed file transfer and automation tools such as GoAnywhere or comparable platforms

Experience integrating with JD Edwards, Service Pro, or similar ERP or field service systems

Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Scripting or programming experience with Python, Java, C#, or PowerShell

Knowledge of data governance, enterprise data management, and data security best practices
