Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a nonresidential two-year institution of higher education that serves Central Virginia - principally residents of the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson. We are seeking to identify qualified and interested adjunct faculty members in the following teaching disciplines and/or subject areas: DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHY

Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) content in classroom and campus laboratories. This position requires faculty to design course syllabi and develop course materials related to DMS. Excellent knowledge of sonography equipment and hands on lab practice. Teaching load based on student enrollment and staffing needs. Minimum Qualifications:

• Active RDMS credentials from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography in specialty area of both abdomen and Ob/Gyn.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in the teaching field with demonstrated competencies.
• Minimum of 2 years full time related occupational experience as a sonographer.
• Knowledge of computers and online instructional technologies (Canvas).
• Excellent oral/written communication skills.
• Skilled in teaching lecture, online, and/or hands on laboratory courses.
