Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector has an exciting career opportunity for a Systems Engineering Manager to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located at the Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.

As part of the Advanced Space Processing OU E&S team at Schriever Space Force Base the Systems Engineering Functional Manager Level 1 will manage an on-site team of 12-15 multi-disciplinary engineers supporting the BOA / PIT / ESL / ESPN mission.

This dual role combines both functional management responsibilities with technical execution within the BOA / PIT / ESL / ESPN program. The position involves either overseeing lab infrastructure (requiring Software, Cybersecurity, or Administration expertise) or leading lab execution (focused on MDA system testing or analysis).

The ideal candidate will exhibit proven leadership skills, drive sustained high performance while fostering collaboration. A track record of effective communication, problem-solving, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is essential. The candidate must demonstrate unwavering ethics, integrity, and a willingness to innovate by challenging conventional approaches.

Essential Functions :

• Ability to build and lead diverse, inclusive, and highly engaged teams, coupled with experience mentoring and coaching team members.
• Providing exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must, as well as a history of success in collaborating with and leading engineering teams to achieve program goals.
