Zeta is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, Event Programming to own and elevate the programming and speaker strategy for Zeta Live, Zeta’s premier annual conference, as well as Zeta’s portfolio of proprietary events, industry conferences, and executive thought leadership moments throughout the year. The candidate will lead end-to-end programming strategy and execution for Zeta Live, spanning 3-4 concurrent stages and over 90 speakers, while also supporting Zeta’s broader ecosystem.
This role is ideal for an experienced programming leader with exceptional content judgement, deep executive presence, knowledge of the prevailing topics within advertising and marketing, and proven experience managing large scale conferences in addition to industry events. The candidate will shape content and speakers that influence CMOs, CEOs and industry leaders, and ensure Zeta Live sets the agenda for the future of AI-powered marketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Programming Strategy : Own the programming vision for Zeta Live across multiple stages and content tracks, ensuring a cohesive, high-quality experience and compelling content for Zeta Live’s audience from opening keynote through closing moments.
- Programming Execution : Develop agendas, run-of-show, session titles, abstracts, and editorial copy that align with Zeta’s strategic narrative and audience priorities.
- Ensure programming delivers timely, differentiated perspectives on marketing, technology, AI, data and growth that sets Zeta apart as a category leader.
- Speaker Sourcing & Executive Engagement : Identify, research, and secure top-tier speakers from brands and agencies across various sectors for Zeta Live. Engage with senior-level executives, innovators, and thought leaders to ensure content reflects the latest trends, solutions, and insights shaping the marketing technology landscape.
- Speaker Management & Logistics : Lead day-to-day communications with potential speakers managing outreach, booking, and logistics. Oversite of external production company managing Speaker-related communications including Speaker prep packets, program intros, key talking points, and travel / hotel.
- Executive, Marketing, and Sales Collaboration : Partner closely with senior leadership from Sales, Product, Marketing, and Communications to ensure programming supports Zeta’s business objectives and go-to-market priorities, aligning session content with strategic themes and customer stories.
- On-Stage Moderator and Speaker Collaboration : Coordinate with interviewers and moderators to perform research, draft scripts, outlines, presentations, and preparatory materials for on-stage conversations, panel discussions, and interviews. Ensure smooth transitions and engaging interactions between moderators and speakers during live events.
- Digital Content Integration : Source and curate relevant digital assets (images, videos, case studies) to enhance live event programming and on-stage discussions. Utilize these assets to provide context and deepen the audience’s understanding of session topics.
- Event Script Development : Write, edit, and update event scripts, including VOGs, welcome remarks, session transitions, closing statements, and other event elements, ensuring a seamless show flow of content throughout the event.
- Speakership Opportunities : Align Zeta subject matter experts at Industry Conferences to position Zeta as thought leader in the marketplace, supporting content development for opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in event programming and speaker management. Experience in martech, media, or tech-driven industry strongly preferred.Proven experience in managing multiple content tracks and curating speaker lineups for large-scale, high-profile conferences. Experience working directly with senior executives to align programming with business goals and audience needs.Established network of Executive leaders and influencers. Ability to leverage relationships to secure high-profile speakers and thought leaders for Zeta’s events.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with senior executives, internal stakeholders, external partners, and speakers. Strong presentation and writing skills.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Familiarity with martech tools, content management systems, and event management software. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite is required; familiarity with other digital tools is a plus.Strong content judgment and the ability to create compelling, strategic content for conferences that will captivate audiences and drive engagement.BENEFITS & PERKS

The total compensation range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000 .
