Title : Application Programmer - Level II (Web Designer / Developer)

Responsibilities :
- Design and develop applications, websites, and user interfaces to support the organization's IT systems and external communications strategy.
- Use a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools to design and build web pages. Ensure these web pages align with the organization's goals and strategies.
- Create and develop user interface features, site animations, and special effects to enhance the user experience and aesthetic appeal of online platforms.
- Write, update, repair, and modify computer programs according to specifications, as outlined by Engineers, technical architects, or other computer scientists.
- Conduct thorough testing of developed applications to identify and resolve any bugs, glitches, or issues. Ensure software is functioning as intended.
- Provide clear and detailed documentation for all stages of application development, including design specifications, code comments, and operational instructions.
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and other technical professionals to design, develop, and integrate applications. Contribute ideas and collaborate to solve complex technical issues.
- Regularly maintain, update, and expand existing computer programs and systems to improve functionality, efficiency, and user experience.
- Understand the business or functional requirements of the application and design software solutions to meet these needs.
- Ensure that developed applications comply with security standards, especially when privileged access to lab, test, or production environments is required.
Must Have Skills :
A minimum of four () years of progressive experience demonstrating proficiency in application programming, design, and development.Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Proficient in various programming languages and development frameworks, with a strong understanding of coding, debugging, and application design processes.Experience with web development tools, graphics software, and user interface design, with a focus on building functional and aesthetically pleasing web pages.Strong ability to conduct thorough application testing, debug code, and resolve any issues in a timely manner.Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), including planning, development, testing, and deployment phases.Ability to work well in a team environment, communicating effectively with engineers, technical architects, and other professionals to complete projects successfully.Understanding of application security standards and practices, especially when privileged access is involved.Strong ability to document code, design processes, and system architecture for future reference and team collaboration.Must possess IAT II certification as required by DoDStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address technical challenges and implement effective solutions.Careful attention to detail when designing, developing, and testing applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality.
