Job Description

As a Security Officer - Logistics Patrol Team in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will actively monitor and patrol a logistics and distribution location. In this dynamic environment, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and interact with staff and visitors to provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within logistics and distribution locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report findings according to post orders and company guidelines.
  • Assist with controlling access to the location, verifying credentials as needed, and directing visitors or delivery personnel appropriately.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff by maintaining a visible presence and communicating professionally in all interactions.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
