Position Function :

The Physician Assistant Program at Mississippi State Universitys Meridian campus invites applicants for a time-limited non-tenure track position as Lecturer. This role will be responsible for teaching or course development.

Master of Physician Assistant Studies

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Development delivery and assessment of current objective-driven course material.

Student performance evaluation.

Early identification of students struggling to achieve course and program learning outcomes.

Development and implementation of remediation plans and early intervention plans of action.

Minimum Qualifications :

Successful applicants will hold a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field.

Qualified through academic preparation (advanced degree or other academic background). and / or experience to teach clinical pharmacology at the masters degree level.

Recent practical expertise is required.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities :

Classroom or clinical teaching experience is preferred.

Familiarity with physician assistant scope of practice and ability-based curriculum is a plus.

Ability to be an effective educator.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Commitment to student success.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
