Inpatient Coding Specialist

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Specialist (Coder III) - Fully Remote.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze clinical documentation to assign accurate codes for inpatient services

Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and coding queries

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred

Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or equivalent coding certification

Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience

In-depth knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems

Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
