What your day looks like

Under general supervision, handle product at various stages through the process and preparing it to be cooked, cooled or packaged for shipment to customers. Follows all USDA and Leidy SQF, HACCP, GMP requirements. Maintain and observe all safety rules and regulations at all times. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Specific Responsibilities

• Handle all products and equipment in a proper and safe manner.
• Follow all USDA and Leidy's TQC standards, safety rules, regulations, and guidelines. Communicate any concerns to supervisor when necessary.
• Keep pace with production levels and / or line speed.
• Be conscious of proper yields and production standards.

Who Are You : Must be able to follow directions, have basic math, communication, and interactions skills. Must be able to differentiate between products and specialty cuts or hog parts and have good knife skills with respect to proper use, handling and sharpening. Must be able to lift, push, or pull 8 lbs. frequently. Must be able to pinch, grasp hard, perform fine manipulations repetitively, work on or near moving machinery, and work with arms above shoulder level. Must be able to occasionally bend, squat, twist and frequently reach. Must be able to continuously stand. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to work overtime as required.
