Title : Mechanical Assembler

Location : Batavia, IL

Hire Type : Year long contract with full benefits!

Pay : $25 / hr.-$29 / hr.

This role involves mechanical assembly and disassembly work under the direction of engineers, scientists, and senior technicians, performing tasks requiring varying levels of precision.

Job Duties :

Perform assembly and disassembly work using hand tools and mechanical equipment

Read and interpret engineering drawings and follow detailed assembly procedures

Accurately document completed tasks and enter data into tracking systems using MS Word and Excel

Support precision mechanical operations and assist engineers and senior technicians as needed

Perform grinding, cutting, soldering, and handling of materials as required

Follow all safety and quality procedures while maintaining a clean work area

Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly or fabrication environments

Ability to use hand tools and perform work with attention to detail

Comfortable reading blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings

Basic computer skills including MS Word and Excel

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required

Willingness to work occasional overtime or respond to operational needs on short notice

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform repetitive lifting

Ability to climb stairs and ladders and stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours per day)
