Job Description

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol in Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will support a welcoming atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and offers the opportunity to make a positive impact while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and care.

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment for all occupants.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and screening procedures as required by site-specific policies.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and other Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment.
  • Document and communicate all incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
