Position Overview
As a Gas Technician, you will assist in the replacement and installation of gas meters while following strict safety and compliance standards. This is a travel-heavy position requiring temporary relocation to active project sites for up to 12 months.
Training Requirements
- 3 weeks of hands-on training at our Amarillo, TX facility
- 1 week of out-of-state training
- Must pass the Operator Qualification (OQ) Test in week 4
- Relocation to the field (TN, NC, and / or SC) immediately after successful completion
Compensation & Provided Support
$18 / hr during training$20 / hr + $250 per diem after assessments and OQ testPaid weeklyWe provide :HousingUniformsToolsTransportation while in the fieldNo benefits at this timeCompensation : $18 - $20 hourly
Responsibilities :
Lead and support field crews during installations and service visitsTravel to assigned sites with flexibility for extended field assignmentsPerform natural gas meter installations and maintenance in the field
Track work progress and submit accurate reportsDrive and care for a fully equipped work vehicleQualifications :
Physically able to work in various weather conditionsValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordExperience in construction, utilities, plumbing or field service is a plus
