Investments Vice President

Chicago, IL –RCP is seeking to hire a Vice President to join our Investment team. The Vice President will participate in all aspects of RCP’s investment process, with a focus on underwriting secondary and co-investment opportunities in the Lower Middle Market Buyout space.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as integral member of the Investment Team, which as deal quarterback provides significant exposure to senior investment professionals within RCP and the broader private equity industry
• Underwrite secondary investment opportunities, including top down and bottoms up LBO valuation models for baskets of operating companies
• Diligence and execute co-investment transactions, which will entail all aspects of directly investing into the cap table of operating company, including meeting management teams, assessing industry attractiveness and working with Associates to create detailed LBO valuation models
• Meet with fund managers as it relates to secondary, co-investment and primary investment opportunities
• Prepare investment memos and co-lead RCP investment committee discussions on secondary and co-investment opportunities
• Develop relationships with General Partners to provide sourcing opportunities for RCP products
• Provide scale and bandwidth to Principles and Partners on Investment Team
• Train and mentor pool of analysts and associates
• Enhance our current processes and practices and make us better
