Department Summary
Under the general direction and supervision of the Assistant Director Logistical Services Shipping and Receiving Services (SRS) and Mail Services (MS) are jointly responsible for the receipt of all incoming material for the campus community and the delivery of such material to the appropriate campus departments. SRS & MS are responsible for the receipt packing and shipment of all outgoing material as well. The departments provide documentation and verification of all material to ensure it is in accordance with the purchase orders. Responsibilities also include the receipt and tagging of University equipment. SRS & MS are also jointly responsible for receiving sorting and distributing U.S. and campus mail. It also distributes other campus-related materials. The departments serve as the liaison between the University and the U.S. Postal Service.

Education and Experience
One year of experience assisting in the receipt storage or issuance of materials from a centralized stockroom or warehouse including some experience in the operation of forklift trucks or similar power-operated materials handling equipment.
Prospective applicants who do not have the experience listed may be considered eligible based on other evidence of meeting the above minimum qualifications.
