Job Summary :

The Maintenance Manager is a working manager responsible for both leading the maintenance team and actively participating in hands-on maintenance work. This role oversees all maintenance activities on the production side of Liberty Tire Recycling, including the operation, repair, and upkeep of shredders, grinders, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will bring strong troubleshooting skills, electrical expertise, and the ability to balance leadership with direct involvement on the floor.

Key Responsibilities :

• Serve as a working manager by actively participating in daily maintenance tasks alongside the team.
• Lead and manage all maintenance activities related to shredders, grinders, and other production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Operate and maintain heavy industrial equipment including grinders and shredders.
• Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce unplanned outages.
• Supervise and train maintenance technicians to ensure safe, efficient work practices.
• Prioritize and schedule work orders using a work order management system.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate vendor / contractor support when needed.
• Support and drive continuous improvement efforts to improve reliability and uptime.
