Position Summary :

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining heavy and support equipment safely and professionally. This position requires a valid driver's license and a medical card.

Your Role :

• Diagnose mechanical problems through Cat E.T. and Volvo Prosis / Tech tool software.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including but not limited to hydraulic, brake, and electrical systems, transmissions, engines, etc., to maximize safe and productive operations.
• Replace parts such as bearings, engines, cylinders, and screens.
• Overhauls of equipment such as loaders, excavators, sweepers, grinders, etc.
• Reads and interprets vehicle condition reports (VCR) and daily DVIRs from operators. and orders
• Communicates problems as well as preventative techniques with equipment users and vehicle drivers, as well as supervisors.
• Completes all necessary paperwork for repairing vehicles and documenting parts usage.
• Work well, as our goal is to be a team / family.
• Participate in all required Company meetings, including weekly safety meetings.
• Maintains reasonable, regular, and punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.
