Manual Machinist I - 1st Shift

This position is for experienced Manual Machinist only. Not intended for Machine Operators.

As a national leader in providing superior electro-mechanical repairs and services, we are currently seeking a 1st shift Manual Machinist for our machine shop. Since 1981, we have been a family-owned company instrumental in keeping national industries operational. We specialize in building, servicing, and selling industrial motors, controls, gearboxes, and related equipment for advanced electric motor systems.

Our Machinists play a crucial role in performing complex machine tool operations to produce, fabricate, and repair precision parts for industrial motors. The position hours are 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operations on engine lathes, vertical / horizontal mills, and vertical lathes
• Interpret blueprints to determine critical dimensions and machine set up
• Read micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial indicators and other precision measuring and test equipment as required
• Maintain low tolerances as indicated by specifications or drawings
• Determine speeds and feeds to obtain proper surface finish
• Adhere to all company EH&S and QMS processes
• Other duties as required, including some disassembly / assembly, repair and rebuilding of industrial equipment
