Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Position Type: Part-Time
Schedule: 12-hour shifts Clinic hours 8:00 AM 8:00 PM, 7 days/week
Minimum Commitment: 4 shifts per month
Compensation: $60 $80/hour (based on experience) + bonus
Benefits: 401(k), Sick Pay, Malpractice Coverage

Position Overview

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Part-Time NP or PA to join our Lee s Summit, MO clinic. This role is ideal for clinicians who value autonomy, flexible scheduling, and meaningful community impact in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.

What You ll Do

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages

• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits

• Order and interpret labs and imaging (including x-rays)

• Perform urgent care procedures (suturing, wound care, splinting, as applicable)

• Provide clear discharge instructions and patient education

• Document care efficiently in the EHR

• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Missouri NP or PA license

• Board certification or eligibility

  • PA: NCCPA

  • NP: ANCC or AANP (FNP required)

• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)

• Ability to treat patients of all ages

• Active BLS certification

• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays

• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience

• Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care)

• Experience interpreting x-rays prior to radiology over-read
