Application Engineer (Job Ref. #AEVJ 2026)
Job Duties: Work with factory for different DOE (Design of experiments) to characterize different material and stack up for specific applications, review results and finalize the material and stack up. Responsible for Antenna design, work on simulation for RF, impedance and loss requirement, and design test fixtures to test Antenna function. Analyze the manufacturing yield and test data. Review the tooling and fixture designs from factory team and work with team to optimize it for high volume production. Responsible for Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) and facilitate all necessary technical documents for quotes. Apply knowledge of industrial and mechanical engineering to support quote preparation activity including penalization, material selection and part construction, Bill of Material (BOM). Review Design documents. Interpret the customer’s requirements in accordance with MFLEX processes. Select proper material and prepare part construction per customer’s requirement for Flex fabrication. Communicate DR/DFM items with customers and factory and follow up to resolve open DR/DFM items.
Ensure all preliminary data and information necessary from initiation through completion of the project. This includes electronic data (Gerber, DXF, AutoCAD, etc.), fabrication prints, quotation analysis, and preliminary correspondence with customers. Maintain close communication with customers during the design stages. Work with customers and factory for project planning and scheduling for NPI builds. Communicate technical information and NPI build schedule to customers. Responsible for managing and coordinating the production readiness process by optimum tool design and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and implementation. Provide technical support during all prototype and pre-production stages. Initiate and manage changes in procedures and manufacturing process. Check and approve design packages. Up to 15% domestic travel and 15% international travel. Travel expenses paid by the employer.
Minimum Requirements: . Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related engineering position in an electronics manufacturing environment. .
Must also possess: 1 year experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) design; Experience using AutoCAD and ECAM software applications; Demonstrated ability to read fabricating drawings, data sheets, and electronic schematics; Experience with flex material selection and PCB stack up; Experience with RF and Antenna modules and components.
Any and all experience may be gained concurrently. Position requires up to 15% domestic and 15% international travel; expenses paid by employer 40 hrs./wk. Salary: $98,880 to $130,000.00 per year.
